At Healing on the Streets, we believe God loves you and can heal you. We are aware that prayer and medical advice are complementary, not mutually exclusive. We encourage everyone to seek essential treatment for conditions which medical advice should be sought. If you are on any medication stay on it. Under no circumstances should you stop doing anything a medical professional or counselor has advised.

Is this a hoax?

This is real. We live in a world that is not only physical, but spiritual. We believe we have bodies and as well as souls. It is now common knowledge that our emotional state can affect our physical state (we think of stress affecting our bodies). When we pray for healing, we are engaging the Spirit of truth with the physical body, and then waiting to see what happens.

What is healing?

Healing is Jesus' power coming into our space and time and making what was unwell, well, and what was broken, fixed. We call this 'His Kingdom coming on earth, as it is in heaven.'

We believe that as Christians, Jesus has told us to go out and bring his healing to the sick and his peace to those suffering oppression.

In the bible, Jesus tells his disciples: "As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give."

- Matthew 10:7-8

What if I'm not healed?

Sometimes people are healed immediately, some are healed gradually, and some are healed over time. Sometimes people are not healed at all, but it is our hope that every person walks away having been prayed a blessing over them. The blessing would be that they would feel God's amazing love for them, and how precious they are to Him, even if they are not physically healed. If you are interested in hearing more about the "now and the not yet" watch our talk on Kingdom expectation here.
