Join the Vineyard Team!
One of the biggest values we hold as a church is that everybody gets to play. We believe that serving is integral to both being part of Church life and having a relationship with God. Serving is our opportunity to be like Jesus to those around us, and God uses our service to impact us and the lives of others. We want you to feel released to use your gifts to the fullest, as well as develop new skills and, be part of a team.

Venue Manager
At SVV, we believe creating a smooth-running environment is key to helping everyone feel at home in our church. As a Venue Manager, you ensure the building is unlocked and prepared and things run smoothly behind the scenes. You'll check in with each serving team, offering support and encouragement, and be on hand if needed during the service. At the end of the service, you'll help with packing away, ensuring everything is clean, tidy and locked up. This role is ideal for someone who loves being organised and assisting others practically.

Catering Team
The Catering Team extends the hospitality that makes everyone feel at home. Starting church with a coffee in hand is something we love being able to provide, and is also something very Vineyard! We also set out tea, squash, freshly warmed croissants, fruit and GF/DF options. Catering is a lively place to serve and really suits team members who enjoy getting in the kitchen or just lending a helping hand.

Set-Up Team
The Set-Up Team is vital in preparing our space for worship and community at SVV. You'll help by arranging the chairs for the service. A big part of this role is also lending a hand to others, whether helping carry items from cars into the building or assisting wherever extra help is required. After the service, the team stacks the chairs, puts them away, and helps get any items back into vehicles. This is a fantastic and fun team to join if you enjoy practical work and want to serve in a hands-on way that makes a real difference.

Tech Team
The Tech Team works alongside the worship team to support the Sunday service. There are various levels of tech that we need each week, from running the slides for the worship/preach, to getting the band ready to plug and play, to setting levels on the board for rehearsals. Our goal is to support good sound quality for those participating and receiving in the service. We do on the job training that requires flexibility, listening (training your ears) and lots of walking back and forth to the sound desk. This is an ideal team to serve on if you enjoy fast-paced learning and problem solving.

Welcome Team
We take great pride in greeting everyone with a warm kingdom welcome. We aim to ensure everyone walking through our doors feels seen and valued. We help newcomers find their way, providing any information they might need and even introducing them to others they could sit with during their first service. The Welcome Team is a fabulous place to start if you're new to serving, as you’ll meet many people and quickly get to know familiar faces.

Planet Vineyard is a great place to serve if you enjoy investing in children’s lives, talking with young people or if you are gifted in the combo of responsibility whilst having fun!
Little Stars (0-3)
Little Stars is a space for the youngest ones of our church family to have fun being busy and learning about Jesus! On a typical Sunday we sing songs, do colouring/crafts, read stories, have toast, worship and do bubble blessings. We sometimes go outdoors to play when the weather is nice. We are looking for team who can shift task quickly to match with the toddler attention span! It is a precious time we have together and the presence of the Holy Spirit is there amongst us.

Weekly Activities
Storehouse Foodbank
Storehouse is part of the compassion ministry of SVV, a referral only food bank to help those who find themselves in short term crisis. Supported by many volunteers, who are passionate, kind and compassionate they help us to provide food, hygiene, cleaning and baby products to those who require our service. Our service has two parts; logistics and operations or front facing. Operations consists of processing our donations and bag making. Our front facing roles are where we have face-to-face contact with our service clients. We offer hot/cold drinks, warm meals and a safe space for people to feel welcome, secure, loved and looked after, with the end result of being supported in their time of need with food and other items. If you enjoy investing in helping people, this could be a ministry for you!

Little Wonders Tot's Group
The Little Wonders Tots Group is looking for people to join our lovely team of volunteers. There are roles and opportunities for everyone. From setting up and putting away equipment at the beginning and end of each session to helping with snacks, washing up, welcoming people at the door, helping with crafts and just generally chatting to the adults and children. It’s a lively and happy place to be and we have seen much fruit from this group with parents and children coming to church and finding faith in Jesus. The session runs from 9:30-11:15 each Wednesday in school term time. Volunteers arrive at around 8:30 to set up and have time to pray before the children and parents arrive and we have usually packed away by around 11:30, certainly when we have sufficient help.
Could you spare 3 hours just once or twice a month to become a part of this vibrant ministry?
