Welcome to our kids and young people’s ministry

We believe that God loves this beautiful planet and all his creation, young and old. So as Jesus put a child at the centre of his conversation with grown adults, we know that we can learn as much from them as they can from us.

Sundays

On Sunday morning during our service we aim to teach and relate to our children in a fun way and show how much God loves them. We are planning to have three groups as part of the Planet Vineyard experience.

Little Stars – 0-3 years olds

A new group to be started soon, which will be situated at the back of the main hall, will allow parents to stay in the service. We also appreciate that if you are a visitor you really don’t want to spend all your time outside when you’ve also come for yourself. Please note that this is a parent-supervised area.

Rockets – 4-10 year olds

Rockets involves lots of creative play and craft activities. A typical week may include creating a collage or making iced cakes. It is also usually involves a lot of noise! We introduce the Bible through themes and stories in fun and lively ways, encouraging kids to trust God and care for each other.

Supernovas – 11 years and over

Supernovas is a place for older children to have honest conversations with one another and form healthy friendships in a Jesus-centred environment. We want them to discover the richness of their bibles and know Jesus for themselves. This will include discussions, worship, prayer, quizzes, food, ministry etc.

Supernovas @ Eden’s – midweek

We also have a fortnightly Supernovas HOME group on Wednesdays at the Eden’s Project in Gainsborough Street, Sudbury, 7-9 pm. This is a mixture of fun activities, sharing life stuff, worship and prayer ministry. Ideal for young people who have never been to church before. A safe place to make strong friendships with God and one another.  Speak to the Planet Vineyard leadership team today or church office.

Planet Vineyard Events

Throughout the year we’ll be putting on a variety of Planet Vineyard fun events. Many of them will be opportunities for kids and young people to invite their friends to come along and get a taste of church – Vineyard style! For the older ones (Supernovas-aged) we have Ignition, which is an activities day. Keep an eye on Grapevine and webpage for up and coming events.

Leadership Team

Planet Vineyard is led by Kerri and Debbie,  along with a dedicated team who share a passion for seeing our kids and young people grow up in faith.

Parents: for your peace of mind and in accordance with CRB, each one of core team has been vetted to work with our young children. Your child’s safety is something we take very seriously at Stour Valley Vineyard.
